5 HOT HOTEL REOPENINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR THIS SUMMER

Dormy House, a pretty boutique property;

Foxhill Manor, an Arts and Crafts manor; and The Fish, a collection of treehouses, shepherd’s huts and chic rooms. It is hoping to reopen on July 13 at the earliest.

This modern country house hotel (below) is making preparations to reopen on July 4. It has two restaurants, so it can space tables safely (pre-ordering will also be available), while some spa treatments will still be offered. The best choice for a post-lockdown stay? One of its spa lodges, which have their own outdoor hot tubs.

This Palladian palace will reopen on Aug 1. Of its 47 rooms, 26 will be bookable, plus there’s a new app on which you can find menus and local recommendations. Both the indoor and hydrotherapy pools will be open, with extra measures in place.

Lucknam Park will be opening new cottages alongside its usual rooms. Al fresco dining will replace the restaurants, including picnics and “destination dining” (below) in its 500-acre grounds. There will be a focus on outdoor activities, including forest bathing, cycling, horse riding and tennis. The spa and gym reopening is still to be confirmed.
