How on earth did the wing manage to stay in the field of play to collect Russell’s kick against Sale? Thomas has scored plenty of stellar tries but this was right up there, with barely anything separating his right foot from the touchline before he scored a key try in Paris, putting Racing back into the lead. Thomas is off to La Rochelle next season but moments like this belong in Racing’s space-age arena.
