It’s a decade since Adrian Lester quietly and commandingly played the role of Shakespeare’s jealousy-roused Moor at the National with Nick Hytner directing and an Olivierwinning Rory Kinnear as Iago. Now, under a new regime, deputy artistic director Clint Dyer promises a fresh angle for a production that stars Giles Terera (who broke through as Aaron Burr in Hamilton) opposite Paul Hilton (last seen on TV in Slow Horses) as his nemesis, with Rosy McEwen as Desdemona.
