When this sequel to the Hammer sci-fi horror was released this paper’s film critic Campbell Dixon described it as “all good grisly fun”. Brian Donlevy reprises his role as the heroic Professor Bernard Quatermass. This time the omniscient Professor discovers a government attempt to cover up an alien invasion after mysterious meteorite showers hit a small town, all while trying to persuade officials to colonise the moon.
