Directed by Roger Michell (Notting Hill) and adapted from a screenplay by Buddha of Suburbia author Hanif Kureishi, this charming comedy-drama stars Peter O’Toole as Maurice Russell, an elderly actor who finds himself falling for his friend Ian’s (Leslie Phillips) much younger niece, the slightly damaged Jessie (Jodie Whittaker), while simultaneously battling prostate cancer. A movingly untraditional love story.
