Two episodes to kick off the second series of Armando Iannucci’s underrated sci-fi comedy “set in the future, mostly in space”. Hugh Laurie, as the captain of the luxury interplanetary cruise ship that has been knocked off course, doesn’t dare tell the eccentric, well-heeled passengers they’re going to be stuck on the vessel for eight years, while Rebecca Front’s Karen (who caused the crisis) is still in hiding – “The passengers want to use my sphincter as a hockey puck” – but suffering from cabin fever.
