Sexual harassment cases prompt Labour review

Labour is to review its complaints process following sexual harassment claims against one of its MPs.

Geraint Davies, the MP for Swansea West since 2010, was this week accused of unwanted physical and verbal sexual attention towards six female colleagues, which he denies.

David Evans, Labour’s general secretary, said the review had been a priority since separate allegations about an unnamed frontbencher two weeks ago. In an email to party staff first reported by the website Tortoise, he wrote: “Since the stories, it has been my urgent focus that we review the formal processes through which our colleagues can report such behaviour.
