Boy and man arrested over stolen donkey

Two people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a 12 week old donkey foal that was reunited with its mother, after it had been missing for more than two weeks.

The young animal, named Moon, was taken from Miller’s Ark Animals farm in Hook, Hampshire, on May 15. Police said appeals for information had attracted “countless calls and online reports from members of the public” before the animal was reunited with Astra, its mother. Thames Valley officers arrested a boy, 17, and a man, 38, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, on suspicion of theft on Thursday. Both have been released under investigation.
