What, when, why? Five of the 150 questions ex-PM will face

♦ To what extent did you believe that coronavirus was akin to influenza? Did you hold and express the initial view in early 2020 that Covid-19 was not a serious threat and was akin to swine flu? If so, please provide details of when you expressed this view and confirm when your views changed.

♦ Please confirm whether in March 2020 (or around that period), you suggested to senior civil servants and advisers that you be injected with Covid-19 on television to demonstrate that it did not pose a threat. Please provide details of when any such conversation took place and the circumstances in which it was had.

♦ To what extent was the first lockdown unavoidable? Could a national lockdown have been avoided, for example, if earlier interventions had been adopted by the UK Government?

♦ Why did you feel it was right to ease the first lockdown at the start of July 2020? Was the balance struck between easing restrictions and stimulating the economy on one hand, and on the other, keeping the number of cases of Covid-19 low during the summer of 2020? In hindsight, was the lockdown eased at the right time?

♦Why did you decide to create the Rule of 6? On what scientific advice was this decision based? Did you consider this would be sufficient to suppress cases of Covid-19?
