December 2017

Adwoa Aboah, a feminist activist, was on the cover of Enninful’s first British Vogue cover. Her name was listed with those of Sadiq Khan and Zadie Smith.

May 2018

Enninful stated in his editor’s letter that the issue New Frontier – The Models Changing the Face of Fashion, “defines everything we stand for as a magazine”.

September 2019

The Duchess of Sussex guest edited the prestigious September issue, entitled Forces for Change. It was dedicated to 15 “changemakers” – including Greta Thunberg and Jacinda Ardern.

November 2022

“It is a farewell from Vogue,” Enninful wrote in a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. “More than that, it is a thank you.” Her funeral “was extraordinary”, he added.

May 2023

Of this edition, Enninful said: “Diversity, inclusivity – it’s all under the same roof.” He added that shining a light on “othered” people was part of Vogue’s mission.
