‘IT’S A GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO FAST FASHION, THERE’S NO WASTE’

A social media marketer, Ms Pittam earns about £60 a week renting her clothes out and thinks the model could combat cheap, throwaway clothes.

“It’s a really great alternative to fast fashion because you get products for the same price point; you probably wear it the exact same number of times, but you’re not actually creating any waste from the experience,” she said.

Ms Pittam mainly rents for social occasions, like a recent Barbie-themed birthday party. “I really got to look the part in this all-pink outfit that I wouldn’t necessarily buy,” she said.
