Property website Rightmove has named Britain’s 10 happiest towns, including new entrants Llandudno in Wales (pictured) and Cirencester in the Cotswolds. St Ives in Cornwall came top of the annual poll, which asks 21,000 residents to rank how happy they are with where they live, plus other factors including open space and earning enough to live comfortably. It scored highly for fostering a sense of belonging – the biggest factor that contributes to happiness – and for its community spirit. Alexa Phillips
