Drunk veterinary nurse caused chaos on flight
A veterinary nurse, who caused chaos on a flight after drinking so much vodka she was unable to speak coherently, has escaped being struck off or suspended from her job.
However, a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons disciplinary panel issued Katherine Heyes a formal warning because her “reckless behaviour” had brought the profession into disrepute.
Ms Heyes, 29, who is registered as a veterinary nurse in Lancashire, shared a bottle of vodka with two friends as they flew to Turkey from Manchester in May 2019. A fellow passenger said she was “bordering on manic” because she was “screaming and swearing”.
