One Nation Tories

Big name: Tom Tugendhat

One of the most clearly defined factions within the Conservative Party, the One Nation group includes Cabinet ministers Robert Buckland, Chloe Smith and Tom Tugendhat and is chaired by Damian Green, who was Theresa May’s de facto deputy.

Around 30 MPS and six peers are currently members of the caucus, which represents the moderate, centrist wing of the party and will act as a hand brake on some of the Prime Minister’s more radical policies, such as expanding the Rwanda plan for illegal migrants and deregulating business, agriculture and finance.
