Homing instinct

Gilbert & George pose at their eponymous gallery in Spitalfields, east London, with one of the 25 paintings that comprise their 2019 series ‘The Paradisical Pictures’.

The veteran contemporary artists have converted a former brewery near their home into an exhibition space, divided into three galleries, that will serve as a permanent home for their work. The venue opens to the public next Saturday.
