Colourful but controversial

She and her husband, businessman Ken Aylmer, have been issued with an enforcement notice after several complaints about the awning. They are advocates of LGBTQ+ rights and put up the awning to “put a smile on people’s faces”, and as thanks to the NHS for helping a loved one. But after the complaints the couple have had to apply for a retrospective Listed Building application.
