Puss in Boots (2011) Channel 4, 1.40pm ★★★

If the real Zorro isn’t your thing, this Shrek spin-off follows Puss in Boots’ life before he became the green ogre’s trusty Spanish sidekick. With the help of Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) and Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis), the swashbuckling feline (Antonio Banderas, of course) becomes a hero after saving his town. The kids will love it, but sadly for adults, the animation is more impressive than the jokes.
